Position Summary

GPMPS, Inc. is seeking a skilled Carpenter to perform construction, repair, renovation, and maintenance work on buildings, facilities, structures, and related infrastructure. The successful candidate will be responsible for constructing, installing, repairing, and modifying wood, metal, and composite materials while ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with established standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Construct, install, repair, and maintain walls, partitions, doors, windows, flooring, roofing, cabinets, and other building components.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, sketches, and work specifications.
  • Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood, metal, plastic, and composite materials.
  • Install framing, drywall, trim, hardware, and finish carpentry components.
  • Perform facility repairs and renovation projects as assigned.
  • Inspect structures and identify repair or replacement requirements.
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, and woodworking equipment safely and effectively.
  • Ensure work complies with applicable safety standards and quality requirements.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and organized condition.
  • Complete work orders and maintain records of completed tasks.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Vocational or technical training in Carpentry, Construction Technology, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum three years of experience performing carpentry, construction, or facility maintenance work.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Proficiency in the use of carpentry hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments.
  • Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, materials, and construction methods.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting commercial, industrial, institutional, or government facilities.
  • Experience with facility maintenance, renovation, and repair projects.
  • Knowledge of drywall installation, roofing, cabinetry, framing, and finish carpentry.
  • Experience operating woodworking equipment and construction tools.
  • Basic knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and construction best practices.
