Position Summary

GPMPS, Inc. is seeking dependable and hardworking Maintenance Trades Helpers to assist skilled trades personnel in the maintenance, repair, and improvement of facilities, equipment, and infrastructure. The successful candidate will provide general labor support to maintenance teams, assist with routine repairs, and help ensure work is completed safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist skilled trades personnel, including carpenters, electricians, plumbers, mechanics, and maintenance technicians.
• Perform general labor tasks related to facility maintenance, repair, and construction activities.
• Transport tools, materials, equipment, and supplies to work locations.
• Assist with equipment inspections, preventive maintenance, and repair activities.
• Clean work areas, tools, equipment, and job sites before, during, and after maintenance activities.
• Operate basic hand tools and power tools under supervision.
• Load, unload, move, and store materials and equipment.
• Assist with painting, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and general maintenance tasks as assigned.
• Follow all safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Report maintenance issues, damaged equipment, and safety concerns to supervisors.
• Perform other duties as assigned in support of maintenance and facility operations.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum one year of experience in construction, maintenance, warehouse operations, general labor, or a related field.
• Ability to safely use common hand tools and basic power tools.
• Ability to lift, carry, move, and handle materials and equipment safely.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn multiple trades.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting facility maintenance, construction, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, or carpentry operations.
• Familiarity with workplace safety procedures and PPE requirements.
• Experience operating material handling equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts.
• Technical or vocational training in a skilled trade.
• Experience working in industrial, commercial, logistics, or maintenance environments.
