Position Summary

GPMPS, Inc. is seeking experienced Engineer Equipment Mechanics to perform inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and overhaul of construction equipment, earthmoving equipment, material handling equipment, generators, and other heavy mechanical systems. The successful candidate will ensure equipment remains safe, reliable, and operational to support customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance inspections and scheduled services on engineering and construction equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic, and fuel system malfunctions.
• Inspect equipment to determine serviceability and maintenance requirements.
• Repair or replace engines, transmissions, hydraulic pumps, cylinders, drive train components, steering systems, and braking systems.
• Troubleshoot equipment using technical manuals, wiring diagrams, hydraulic schematics, and diagnostic equipment.
• Perform maintenance on bulldozers, excavators, loaders, graders, forklifts, cranes, generators, and other heavy equipment.
• Conduct operational testing to verify repairs and equipment performance.
• Complete maintenance records, work orders, inspection reports, and equipment documentation.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and organized condition.
• Follow established maintenance procedures and safety standards.

Minimum Qualifications

• Technical or vocational training in Heavy Equipment Technology, Diesel Technology, Mechanical Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum three years of experience maintaining and repairing engineering or construction equipment.
• Experience troubleshooting diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and mechanical components.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, blueprints, and maintenance instructions.
• Proficiency in the use of hand tools, power tools, testing equipment, and diagnostic instruments.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience maintaining excavators, bulldozers, wheel loaders, graders, cranes, forklifts, generators, and similar heavy equipment.
• Familiarity with Caterpillar, Komatsu, John Deere, Volvo, JCB, Hitachi, Hyster, Toyota, Kalmar, or equivalent equipment.
• Welding and fabrication experience.
• Experience using computerized diagnostic equipment and maintenance management systems.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance programs and equipment inspection procedures.
