Core Responsibilities
- Physical Counts: Performing regular cycle counts and full physical inventories of stock.
- Data Management: Updating digital and manual inventory records, processing transactions (receipts, issues, shipments) in supply systems (like SAP).
- Accuracy & Reconciliation: Verifying quantities against documents, investigating and resolving discrepancies, adjusting records.
- Material Handling: Safely receiving, storing, picking, packing, and issuing supplies, potentially using forklifts/pallet jacks.
- System Operation: Using scanners (RFID, OCR), databases, and basic software (spreadsheets, word processing).
- Reporting: Generating reports, analyzing stock levels, and identifying needs for replenishment.
Key Skills & Knowledge
- Attention to Detail: Crucial for accuracy in counts and data entry.
- Procedural Knowledge: Understanding supply regulations, procedures (FIFO), and safety protocols (MSDS).
- Technical Aptitude: Familiarity with inventory software, scanners, and computers.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy items (up to 45-100 lbs) and operate material handling equipment.
