(Work performed at NSA Hampton Roads and a nearby third-party site within 15–20 minutes)
Position Overview
We are seeking reliable and detail-oriented Logistics Specialists to support a secure IT equipment migration and logistics operation. This role combines hands-on material handling with basic IT equipment staging and asset tracking inside controlled government facilities.
Team members will assist with receiving, moving, deploying, and tracking IT assets in support of large-scale user migration activities.
Key Responsibilities
Logistics & Material Handling
- Wrapping and unwrapping pallets
- Packing and unpacking boxed equipment
- Loading and unloading trucks
- Operating pallet jacks and vehicle lift gates
- Moving and carrying boxes across base and within buildings
- Driving small box trucks on base to transport palletized equipment
- Collecting packaging waste and transporting it to designated disposal or recycling points
- Sorting packaging materials for proper recycling
IT Equipment Deployment Support
- Inspecting and performing power-on testing of standard IT equipment
- Sorting equipment into bundles, kits, or user sets
- Adding or removing small accessories from equipment kits
- Placing equipment at user workstations during migration activities
- Collecting legacy equipment and transporting it to designated holding areas
- Asset Tracking & Administrative Tasks
- Logging equipment movements
- Recording part numbers and serial numbers
- Applying asset ID labels to equipment
- Logging user-to-equipment assignments
- Tracking legacy equipment designated for disposal
Required Qualifications
- Active U.S. SECRET Security Clearance
- Must be valid through at least May 2025
- Longer validity preferred in case of project extension
- Valid Driver’s License
- Must be willing and able to drive a standard 10-foot box truck (non-CDL)
- Willingness and legal ability to enter into a contract with a Polish company
- Ability to submit invoices for payment (independent contractor compensation structure)
Preferred Experience
- IT equipment deployment, refresh, or migration projects
- Warehouse, logistics, or material handling operations
- Work in government, military, or other secure facilities
- Inventory management or asset tracking systems
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry equipment and boxes (typically 40–50 lbs)
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move equipment for extended periods
- Comfortable working in warehouse, office, and secure environments
Work Environment
Work is performed inside secure government facilities and may include both warehouse-style logistics tasks and office-area equipment deployments. Professional conduct and strict adherence to security protocols are required at all times.
