Welder

Job description 

American Welding Society (AWS) Level I and Level II Certification or equitant. Must have a clean background and be able to pass a drug screen.  

 Job Summary 

The Welder is responsible for fabricating, assembling, installing, and repairing metal components using various welding techniques. This role requires precision, attention to safety, and the ability to read technical drawings and specifications. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Perform welding operations using methods such as MIG, TIG, Stick, or Flux-Cored welding 
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding symbols 
• Measure, cut, and fit metal components prior to welding 
• Inspect welded surfaces and structures to ensure quality and compliance with specifications 
• Operate welding equipment, hand tools, and power tools safely 
• Maintain welding equipment and ensure proper working condition 
• Follow safety procedures and wear appropriate protective equipment 
• Repair damaged metal parts and structures as needed 
• Collaborate with supervisors, engineers, or other team members 
• Maintain clean and organized work areas 

Qualifications & Skills 

Must be SMAW & FCAW Certified 

• High school diploma or equivalent (technical certification preferred) 
• Proven experience as a welder or completion of welding apprenticeship 
• Knowledge of welding techniques, metallurgy, and safety standards 
• Ability to read blueprints and technical documents 
• Strong attention to detail and manual dexter 
•                *Must be able to obtain base access  
•                *Must be able to pass a drug screen 
•                *Must have a clean criminal background 
•                * Must have a current passport
